A short story about me and how this all came about.  

Welcome to Prana & Grace.

It embodies my two great loves, fashion and fitness.

My previous life as a fashion stylist saw me fully immersed in the world of current trends and must haves...but my sporty side felt somewhat neglected at times.

There was a real tug of war between the two worlds until my need to flex and stretch and move won. 

I guess I had always been conscious of the fact that a lot of fitness gear was rather bland to say the least but what does it matter, you only sweat in it right ? !.  Yes ! , but let's be honest when you put on a new, fashion edge pair of leggings and begin your session - whatever that might be, running, yoga, pilates, weights - you do so with a an extra spring in your step. I do anyway.  I take it up a notch, hold myself a little straighter and give that little bit more. Ego driven maybe, but does it really matter what is driving you so long as the ultimate outcome is happiness, internal and external fitness and overall life balance.

Prana & Grace has now included a range of eco friendly yoga mats. Again unique in design but still extremely practical, I wanted to bring a little more vibrancy and individuality to your practice. I hope you will love stepping on to your P&G mat.

A Constant evolution

I question sometimes why I didn't hit upon this idea a lot sooner... but I suppose like all things, the timing has to be right. 

I have always loved sport, you name it, swimming, tennis, squash, running, yoga of course. My idea of a great date growing up was to hire a squash court and thrash it out to the death! Honestly. 

Like any girl, growing up I developed a fascination with fashion and style trying to work out where I fit into that scheme.  My own sense of fashion did evolve quite naturally, an easy mix of wanting to look and feel good in a relaxed way. The need to look decent in a hurry after a gym session. 

I was lucky to work as a stylist for a number of years in the wacky and wonderful world of television.  I had a ball, working with some amazing and talented people who I would also try to drag along to a yoga class. Sometimes with success.

Never however in all that time did it cross my mind to combine the two.... until now.

I think some ideas need the right environment and head space to become a reality.

And so here we are, all planets aligned and the light bulb went "ping". 

I like the fact that I have grabbed the chance to explore this new venture and that you can experience it with me.
